DOWN WITH THE WOOD

sz1oq1x8ma_pantonerubik

Like any good designer, I was tired of my website/blog theme the day I launched it. So, almost one year later, I’m proud to give you a sneak peak of the new one.

At the moment, I am absolutely swamped with school projects and work, so I’m hoping to have a complete website up and running by the end of may.

If you enjoyed the wood theme and aren’t in the mood for lots of beautiful yellow, here you go.

By the way, the image at the top is a little Pantone lovin’, dropped by nerdcore.de

Pantone Christmas

Brainchild of Purpose, a design firm in the UK.

“For their first Christmas, newly established printers Greenford Printing wanted a memorable way to promote their business and at the same time wish their valued clients a ‘Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’.

By building on the familiar language of colour specification, Pantone swatches initiated the main theme for our concept. ‘Panettone’ createda colourful twist on the traditional Italian Christmas cake.

The Panettone boxes arrive as a set of 5, featuring special dates from Christmas Eve to New Years Day, each one representing a different pantone colour.

A big hit in the 2007 McNaughton Review, the design was Joint Winner in the Direct/Promotional category and Highly Commended in Packaging.”

it’s hot.

I’ve arrived at the pinicle of complete designer geek.

This morning I ordered a 2GB flash drive off the Pantone website in 497C. I salivate just looking at it on screen. Can’t imagine what I’m going to do when I see it in person.
