Today's design was inspired by Simon C. Page's Hard to Read Typography series. He's a self-taught designer living who is passionate about design, typography, and geometric art. You can check out his beautiful Flickr group here. Do you know what it says?
DESIGN #6: THE ONLY THING WE HAVE TO FEAR
I found this quote by Carl Jung and immediately loved it. I've been really thinking about all of the hype (positive and negative) about climate change lately. Everyone has an opinion, but it seems like the opinions are politically focused rather than focused on what is really important - our planet. Regardless, isn't it our responsibility to do our part and take care of the earth? In the end, if "climate change" is just a hoax, you've helped make the planet a better place to live.
DESIGN #5: SAVE THE EMPIRE!
DAY #4: AS SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE
DAY #3: MATH IS EASY
Looks like I'm on a vintage/retro kick this week. I found today's quote on a really great site by Chris Coyier called Quotes on Design. It's interesting, thoughtful, funny, and a great time killer.
DAY #2: LET IT BE
DAY #1: TELL THE TRUTH
Today is Day #1 of my Design a Day (or at least every work day*) Challenge for 2010. I will be posting a design each work day based upon the theme for the month. January's theme (or challenge) is to design a quote or phrase. *I realized right away that I wouldn't be able to create a design every day - my weekends tend to be hectic. Why set myself up for failure?
The quote for Day #1 is from Mark Twain.
