Over the past 2-3 years I've quarreled with an overwhelming desire to remove myself from everyday technology and create tangible objects I can touch and feel. There is something more beautiful and mysterious about a sketch or piece of art — painting, cooking, etc — that emerges from our inherent creativity as opposed to something we've seen (or copied) from the web.

Faces: A study on shapes, sizes and arrangements
I've become disillusioned with websites. In fact, I don't really even like them. That's a pretty giant statement considering I've earned 75% of my income (over my entire life) on websites. For the most part they're clunky, ugly, and all look the same. Even the most sexy websites have UI issues and don't even get me started on my own site. It's time we rethink the entire web experience and apps aren't the answer. I don't know what it is but there is something better out there.
