A nod to the cheap, fun $5 races my husband and I have been participating in this summer with our friends.
No one ever drowned in sweat
Feet PortraitsMy Feet series will introduce you to the places my feet go and other feet they meet. Some people take pictures of food. I take pictures of feet. There’s more to come. Enjoy.
While I'm certainly not the first person to document feet (see this gorgeous project) it has been fun to see how it's inspired other people to start posting their own feet pictures. Nick posted a shot of his bare feet walking down the Travertines while in Hierapolis, Turkey, and Laura shared photos of her equally bare, but blistered feet from the Harbourfront beaches in Toronto.
Yesterday, my cousin sent me pictures from the Kansas City Color Run that he, his wife, and some of their friends participated in on Saturday. I must admit this shot makes me slightly jealous because my husband and I will be missing the San Francisco Color Run in a couple of weeks.
This is your feet on color. At the Kansas City Color Run.
This morning, along with two of our friends, Vince and I participated in the Golden Gate Polo Fields 5K. The weather was cool and slightly foggy — as San Francisco is this time of year — but that only added a magical feel to the gorgeous, wooded course.
Running with friends, not scissors.
We'll be heading to the East Coast to visit family this week. I'm looking forward to having some fun feet shots to post from our time there!
A week in feet
A combination of last week, this week, and a little bit of everything in between. I'm generally not a prolific person, however socially awkward that may be. That being said, I give you feet. Feet at the Sunday morning Heart of the City farmer's market in UN Plaza.
One of my favorite Sunday morning activities is hitting up the Farmer's Market at UN Plaza at Civic Center. Not only is there a ridiculous abundance of fresh produce, I love the fact that I can purchase most of my grocery list for the week at around $10. While I realize its not all organic, it is local. Can you smell the transportation fumes I'm saving? No. You can't.
Feet on Pier 14
If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter you're probably aware that my husband and I have started running...again. Our previous attempts consisted of us running separately, so it really shouldn't come as a surprise that we're much more successful when we're together.

Today was Father's Day and I'd be lying if I said this weekend wasn't tough. I've never been particularly sentimental. And yes, I'm the girl who forgets holidays, anniversaries, and birthdays — even my own. Saturday morning, I received a card from my aunt with a picture of my dad holding the 1 year old version of me. It was a particularly touching and most likely a common moment in time that I'll hold onto for as long as I can.
Feet with pops. Love you dad.
Happy Father's Day to all. Walk on.
